Cynthia DeMoss once again brings her multi-media live-improv cabaret to the ultra-hip digital underground club called Baktun.
"With a remarkable range of performance skills, Cynthia DeMoss improvises melody, lyrics, characters and dance in a dynamic collaboration with abstract sonic wizard DJ Firehorse. The resultant tour de force spontaneously combines cross-genre free jazz, monologues and performance art along with live web-cast video mix & projection. The current installment of the Cynthia Show entitled 'GroundHog Day Ascension' is described by Ms DeMoss as 'an aesthetic exploration of quirky popular and personal living myth inspired by mysticism and shamanic essence, both traditional and newly discovered. Not to say that shamanism is a popular hobby, but maybe it will be in the future. As we embrace 2000, ecology and mystic spirit emerge as primordial forces that can yet 'save' us as we listen and atune ourselves to the strange and extraordinary language of our own natures.'
"This is also a power animal show, where we invite the audience, symbolically or otherwise, to come as their own power animal, to throw their perception of what that means to them, 'into the ring'."
"I'm not looking to necessarily break down the fourth wall in a physical sense, I'm a performer who likes and needs a stage. But more in a classical cathartic sense I welcome an emotional and cerebral participagtion from the audience.. It could be helpful for the average art joe, wallstreet broker or journalist who comes to the show, to experience a display of gnostic spontaneous artmaking. We hope so because if we're lucky that's the purpose we will serve.'

Cynthia DeMoss is an actor, singer, dancer and performance artist who is making a name for herself in the New York Film and Downtown Theater circles as well as the cutting edge DJ/Video Projection Scene.
